Admissions Requirements
In order to apply to the Master of Science in Information Systems Online program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
* The Graduate School will determine if a non-traditional program is acceptable; a four-year equivalent collegiate educational program is required. - Non-native English speaking applicants should exceed the 60th percentile on GMAT/GRE verbal and quantitative sections
- Appropriate work experience is also desired but not required
- GMAT (preferred) or GRE score unless waived
2025 - 2026 GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy
For the 2025 - 2026 admissions cycle, the MS in Information Systems Online program will waive the GMAT/GRE test score for all current active duty military. Additionally, the requirement will be waived under the following criteria:
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution and:
- 2+ years of experience* AND 3.50+ GPA
- 4+ years of experience* AND 3.25+ GPA
- 6+ years of experience* AND 3.0+ GPA
- 8+ years of experience*
- Terminal Degree
*Experience is defined as professional, full-time and post-undergraduate or military experience.
Important to note: Being granted a GMAT/GRE waiver does not guarantee admission to the program.
Additional waiver requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Waiver requests can be completed online; however, it is advised to schedule an appointment with an admissions advisor in advance of submitting your request.

Apply through our online Graduate School Application. The program is listed as “Management Information Systems (distance)/MS (Distance Program).” You may apply for admission to any semester (fall, spring, or summer).
A completed application includes:
- Application fee paid to the Graduate School
- Official undergraduate university transcript(s)
- Official GMAT score (preferred) or GRE score
- Official TOEFL or IELTS score (international students only)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Résumé
- Personal Statement
Note: If your school does not have a 4.0 GPA scale, you need to provide one additional document to convert your GPA to a 4.0 scale in your application.
Application Deadlines
Please adhere to the application deadlines below:

Take note that these deadlines are for a completed application package and that letters of recommendation, test scores, and transcripts can often take several weeks to be received and processed by the Graduate School. You should complete the application well in advance of the deadline to ensure we receive your materials on time.
