Curriculum
The online MS in Finance degree requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of coursework. You can transfer a maximum of 6 graduate credit hours from another university with committee approval.
If you are working full-time, you should attempt no more than 6 credit hours (generally 2 courses) per semester. Summer offerings are limited, and the condensed time frame is not often conducive to our working students. You should expect to take 5 fall or spring semesters to complete the program which is about 2 and 1/2 years. You have 6 years to complete the degree, but careful planning is necessary to ensure you complete all courses within that time frame.
In order to graduate with a Master of Science in Finance, you must complete the three required courses, 12 semester hours of Finance electives, and 9 semester hours of free electives.
