        General Requirements

        To accomplish the objectives of the PhD in Business-Supply Chain Management, you will complete the following:

        • A formal program of study
        • Two Research Projects
        • Two Papers
          Paper 1 may be an extended abstract conference submission or a Category 1 journal submission
          Paper 2 will be published in an elite journal
        • Research and Dissertation
        • A minimum of 60 hours beyond the bachelor degree

        A specific degree plan will be determined by your advisor depending on your goals and background. The general requirements are as follows:

        Year 1

        Fall Semester:

        • Philosophy of Science
        • Research Methods
        • Current topics in Supply Chain Management
        • OM Research

        Spring Semester:

        • Research Methods
        • Historical Evolution of SCM and OM Research
        • Research Methods
        • Research Ideation and Development

        Summer Semester:

        • Research Project (data collection and analysis)
        • Outcome: Paper 1
        Year 2

        Fall Semester:

        • Research Methods
        • Overview of SCM Theory
        • Research Methods

        Spring Semester:

        • Conducting Impactful Research
        • Research Methods pick two:
                -   Qualitative Research
                -   Experimental Design
                -   Multi Level Modeling
                -   Mixed Modeling

        Summer Semester:

        • Research Project (data collection and analysis)
        • Outcome: Paper 2

        Year 3 and Year 4

        Research and Dissertation
