Explore Business Minors
Students may begin taking courses in their minor as early as their freshman year if they meet the course prerequisites.

Accounting Minor
The accounting minor gives students an enhanced technical competency. With two required courses and three electives, the minor can be tailored to complement the student’s major course of study.

Business Analytics Minor
With a business analytics minor, students will complement their major area with knowledge of how to manage and process data, analyze and present data using quantitative methods, predict future outcomes using predictive models, and use the resulting information to help make business decisions.

Business Minor
Students in non-Business majors may earn a minor in Business by completing certain core classes in the College of Business. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher in these courses to earn the minor. The only courses that can be transferred from another institution are the ECON requirement and/or the ACCT requirement.

Business-Engineering Technology Minor
(16 semester hours) An interdisciplinary program with the College of Business and the College of Engineering, this minor prepares students for work in technology-intensive firms where new product development requires a combination of business and technical skills. This minor is offered to top students competitively selected from the College of Business and the College of Engineering. Applicants should have a GPA of 3.0 or greater.

Finance Minor
(15 semester hours) With this minor students gain a broader knowledge of the finance area and its applications. The minor can focus on one area corporate finance, investments, financial institution management, real estate, insurance or multinational finance, or combine a range of course areas.

Information Systems Management Minor
The Information Systems minor is a 15 hour program designed to provide students a broad understanding of information systems management. Students learn the basics of telecommunication, business computer applications, database management, and analysis and design of a business system. The Information Systems minor is a perfect complement to any business degree in today's information-rich society.
